VC Kenya Baking and Cookery has trained over 50 women and youth whose livelihoods have been transformed and have been economically empowered .They have started either their own baking shops, do catering, make pastries of various types and sell to earn a living and are able to sustain themselves and their families.
However, there are challenges as some join the training and are not able to pay the fee that we charge to run our organisation and we sympathize with their humble background as they are bread winners in their family and carry loads of responsibilies, from providing food for their families, taking care of their elderly guardians.educating their children etc
