After the successful drilling of a borehole e at the Oloimayiana village, we embrked on introducing agricultural activities.

Traditionally, the Maasai have relied heavily on livestock for their livelihoods. Diversifying into farming can reduce the risk associated with dependence on a single source of income, especially in the face of climate change and diseases that can affect livestock.

Farming is also a means that can provide a steady income, improving the overall economic status of the Maasai people. This can lead to better living standards and reduced poverty levels.

By engaging in agriculture, the Maasai can produce their own food, reducing reliance on external food sources. This ensures a more stable and reliable food supply, particularly during droughts or food shortages. Growing a variety of crops can enhance the nutritional diversity of the Maasai diet, contributing to better health and well-being.
